HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you are interested in being a Knight Buddy, please sign up in the library.  Sign-ups are due by this FRIDAY.  Mrs. Coy will advise you the week of September 20th on selection.

 

If you did not get a chrome book case at the beginning of the year, we now have them available!  Please come down to Mr. Kramer’s office to get one for your chrome book!

 

"The Snack Shack” is now fully open with snacks, drinks, baked goods, and even cappuccino. Bring your money and stop by room 212 before or after school or during passing periods to get a delicious snack.

 

The Junior class is selling Window Decals of your favorite sports or organizations.  Please pick up order form in the office!  The deadline for orders is Sept. 23rd.

 

Attention all Homecoming Attendants and King/Queen Candidates:  There will be a brief meeting in Ms. Loop’s room THIS FRIDAY at 8:00am to discuss your involvement in the parade and coronation.  Please plan to attend!

 

Thursday, September 19th is the first FFA meeting of the year at 7 pm in the Ag Room! It's a sports-themed meeting so bring a themed snack and feel free to dress up for the meeting!

The Farmer City Haunted Forest is looking for volunteers for their 2-weekend event this year:  October 18th and 19th and October 25th and 26th.  There are a lot of ways to be involved and earn community service hours and a great group project to help with in the community!  See Mrs. Whitehouse or email fchauntedforest@gmail.com for more information.

 

Attention College-Bound Juniors and Seniors:  Many universities have open houses and visit days on Saturdays and days that we do not have school.  Plan ahead and use your days off wisely!  There are many opportunities on Oct 11th and Oct 14th!  

The Boys golf team defeated two of three opponents yesterday afternoon.  They dropped the match against Tri-Valley but won the matches against Fisher and Clinton.  Leading the way was Aaron Jayne with a 38 followed by a solid 44 from Wyatt Summers.

 

The Girls golf team dropped both ends of a 3-way match against Prairie Central and Watseka.  Teachers please dismiss  the girls team today at 3pm.

The Varsity Volleyball team defeated the host Cumberland Pirates last night by a score of 25-23, 25-14 to improve to 9-0 (2-0) in the LPC. The JV lost in straight sets to drop their overall record to 3-1.  Leading the Varsity Knights was Gracie Shaffer with 23 assists followed by Jenna Mozingo 18 digs, Nadia Beadle 9 kills and Meah Carter's 2 blocks.  Way to go Lady Knights! 

The Soccer team was defeated last night 5 to zero by Judah Christian.

Lunch Detentions Thursday are with Mr. Seneca and after school detentions this week are with Mrs. Wieber.

 Today’s lunch menu is: Goulash or Chicken Parmesan Sandwich
