HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a Key Club meeting for all members TODAY in Mrs. Davis’s room at lunch.  Please attend!

Please remember turn in the Evacuation Drill form to the Office by Monday, October 7th!

The Juniors and Seniors will finish their Cowboy relay today at 12:30... in the area between the high school and Schneider.  

Homecoming Dance guest forms are in the office due TODAY.  If you are bringing a guest to the dance, they must be under age 21 and have a copy of their ID or Drivers License attached to the form.  The dance is Saturday, Oct. 5th in the old gym at 7pm.

 

If you haven’t registered your car and license plate with the office, please do so today or Thursday also, if you do not want your vehicle windows painted by the Boosters on Friday, please let the office know either today or Thursday!!!

It's fall and all things pumpkin! Blue Ridge FFA has pumpkins for sale in the Ag Room! We have a few smaller ones for $3 and many large ones for $5. Pumpkins will be sold until October 27th so get them while they are here! 

The Homecoming “All You Can Tacos” will be held after the Homecoming Parade on Friday, Oct. 4th at the American Legion from 3:30 – 6:30pm.  Tickets are $9 for Adults and $5 for Students!  See any band member to purchase tickets.

 

The Garden House is donating $1 to the BRHS Boosters for every Homecoming corsage ordered for your Homecoming date on Saturday!  Call 928-5454 to place your order!

 

Farmer City Baseball is having a community day at Monical’s Pizza on Monday, October 14th.  Monical’s will donate 20% or your bill to the organization.  Flyers are in the office if you need one!

Students interested in learning more about college and career options are encouraged to make an appointment with Mrs. Coy. It’s important for all Seniors to start acting on your college and career plans. Every college has a different deadline, so be sure to check with your college choices and see when is the right time to apply. You should aim to apply by Nov 1st for an early college decision. Also, mark your calendars as FASFA is LIVE NOW which is when students should plan to apply. Mrs. Coy is available to help you in the library on Wednesdays and Fridays for any assistance you may need. She also has FREE college swag items, so stop by her office to get yours! 

TODAY through Thursday we will use the 2:20 Bell Schedule with an activity daily from 2:20 until 3:10.

Homecoming Dress-Up Days this week are: 

TODAY is Class Colors Day

  • After 2:20 we will have Relays inside in the New Gym
  • After 2:20 there will be a Line Dance Competition in the Old Gym!

Thursday is Western Day

Friday is Spirit Day with Blue and Silver for everyone!

Homecoming Pep Rally will be held at 1pm on Friday with the Homecoming Parade at 2pm.

The Varsity Lady Knights lost a hard fought match to Heritage in three sets last night at home, 19-25, 25-25, 20-25 to drop their overall record to 21-5 (6-1) in the LPC.  Congrats to the JV Volleyball team for defeating the guests in straight sets.  Leading the Varsity was Nadia Beadle with 12 kills and 23 digs followed by Gracie Shaffer with 26 assists and 17 digs and Meah Carters balanced 8 kills and 8 digs.  The Lady Knights are back in action Thursday at Shiloh vs. Tri-County. 

Today the Soccer Team plays at Decatur St. Teresa beginning at 5:00. Teachers, please dismiss the Soccer team at 2:35 today.  Go Knights!

Lunch detentions will be in the office on THURSDAY.  After school detentions are with Mr. Miles in the new gym.

Today’s lunch menu is: Spaghetti with Garlic Stick or Pulled Chicken Sandwich
