HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Tuesday, October 15th

 

Blue Ridge FFA still has some pumpkins for sale in the Ag Room! We have a few smaller ones for $3 and many large ones for $5. Pumpkins will be sold until October 27th so get them while they are here! 

Reminder to any FCA students that pumpkin carving is today at 4:30.  Please see Mr. Sparks if you need details.

FCA will meet on Wednesday at lunch in Mr. Sparks room.

There will be a Boys Basketball meeting at lunch on Wednesday, Oct. 16th in the new gym.

A Student Council meeting will be held during lunch on Thursday 10/17 in Ms. Loop’s room. 

There will be a scholastic bowl meeting in the new gym at 12:30 on Thurs. Oct 17th.  

Any student interested in a career in computer science and cyber security should see Mrs. Whitehouse for information about an awesome workshop on Saturday, October 19th.

There will be re-tryouts for the basketball cheer squad.  Anyone is welcome to come and see what it is all about.  Open gym and instruction will be held Oct 22 and 23 from 7-8 am and also 3:30-4:30 pm in the old gym and the tryout will be held on Oct 24, starting right after school.  See Coach Kristi with any questions.  

 

The Farmer City Haunted Forest will be carving pumpkins on three different days and we invite you to help us this week!  Dates are: October 15th - Starting at 4:30 p.m. 

October 16th - Starting at 4:30 p.m. 

October 17th  - Starting at 4:30 p.m.

Congratulations to the Girls Golf team on a job well done at their Regional tournament in Champaign on Thursday.  Leading the way for the team was Ashlyn Voyles and Abby Trimble.  Congrats girls!

TONIGHT the Volleyball team plays at Arcola with the JV beginning at 6:00 and the

Varsity shortly after. Go Knights!

 

Saturday, Blue Ridge Soccer defeated Meridian 6 to 1 in the first game of Regional play.

In 1st half scoring Victor Reynolds was assisted by Brendan Flannell, Brendan Flannell 2 unassisted, Anthony Thompson assisted by Victor Reynolds, Mitchell Houser assisted by Brendan Flannell.  2nd half scoring was Meridian's Hamilton on a PK and Brendan Flannell assisted by Victor Reynolds.  Jayden  Dalton had 5 saves.  They play TONIGHT in game 2 of regional play at Warrensburg TONIGHT at 4pm.  Please dismiss the Soccer players at 2pm today.  Bus time is 2:15.  Go Knights!

 

After school detentions this week is with Mrs. Lagle.  Lunch detentions on TODAY are with Mrs. Wieber and Thursday with Ms. Meisner.
