Are you interested in playing soccer?  Do you want to try indoor soccer this spring?

BRHS soccer is signing up a team for the indoor league at Soccer Planet in Urbana starting Feb 14th.  Come join us and try out something new.  Please see Mrs. Flannell to sign up or with any questions.

 

Monday is the 6th day of the Semester. After Monday, students can no longer add another

class. However, you can still drop a class through the end of the 5th week of the semester.

 

Auditions for “The Magical Land of Oz” will be held next Thursday and Friday, 1/16 and 1/17 in the library from 3:30-5:30. If you want to be involved but can’t attend, please talk to Miss Yeagle as soon as you are able. We need Actors, singers, stage crew, and director’s assistant, light & sound operators! No experience is needed or necessary!!!

TODAY after school, Brady Masengale will be signing a Letter of Intent to play football at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. This will take place in the Commons at 3:45. Come on out and celebrate with Brady!

There will be a football meeting for all students interested in football for the 2020 season following the college signing TONIGHT after school to discuss offseason workouts and other football business.  If you are not able to make it, please see Coach Bob prior to the college signing. 

The next FFA SAE night is January 16th at 6pm in the Ag Room. Parents and students are invited to attend to learn and work on SAEs.

The next Blue Ridge FFA Meeting is January 23rd with committees meeting at 6:30pm and the regular meeting at 7pm.

Congrats to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team for going 3-0 last night to start Lincoln Prairie Conference play defeating Bement 310-110, Argenta-Oreana 230-190 and Cerro Gordo 330-60 to improve their overall record to 13-3.  The JV scholastic bowl team went 2-1 on the evening defeating Argenta-Oreana and Cerro Gordo, only losing a close match to Bement by 20 points.  The varsity team balanced scoring effort was led in toss-ups by Mitchell Houser with 10 followed by Josephine Aldrich with 9, Sami Boogren with 8, Hutch Partlow with 4, and Nadia Beadle and Abby Johnson with 2 each.  The JV scholastic bowl team was led by Aiden Soliday's 10 toss-ups on the evening.  The Varsity team travels to Mattoon tomorrow to participate in the 20 team IHSSBCA Tournabout.  Bus leaves at 6:45 am.  Good Luck Knights!

Today the Boys Basketball team plays at Okaw Valley High School with the Junior Varsity beginning at 6:00 and the Varsity shortly after. Go Knights!
