HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

For Wednesday, September 12th

Good Morning!

Extra yearbooks are here and for sale for $50 each from the 2017-2018 school year.  See Ms. Thacker to get your copy today!

Benchmark testing will continue Thursday morning and we’ll following the Benchmark bell schedule both of those mornings.  Afternoon classes will remain the same bell schedule.

A college rep from Illinois Wesleyan University will be here on Thursday during 7th hour.  Juniors and Seniors can see Mrs. Whitehouse for a pass. 

The first HS book club will meet in the library during lunch on Thursday, September 13th. Bring your lunch and discuss your latest read!

Golf Grandparents night is .  Tee off time is >span class="aqj">4pm at Woodlawn.

Tuesday, September 18th will be a lunch meeting in Ms. Loop’s room for the NEW Spanish Club.

Please come if you are interested.

Freshman class ring orders are due back on Tuesday, 9/18 during lunch when Freshman meet with the Jostens rep again for orders.  Please bring a check for $60 down payment or check out the ring packet for “3 payment options”.  Design your ring and print your order form at www.jostens.com.  There are extra packets in the high school office if you did not receive one.

The Soccer August Athlete of the Month is:  Abby Bolen, Sophomore, 2nd year participating

Volleyball t-shirt order forms are due on Friday in the office.

Wednesday is Soccer Flood the Field night at the Soccer field and Friday is Football and Cheer Grandparent Night.  Please come on out and support our Knight Athletes!

Congrats to the Varsity Volleyball team for defeating Ridgeview in straight sets last night 25-15, 25-11 to improve their overall record to 14-3.  Congrats to the JV volleyball team for winning in straight sets against the Mustangs as well improving their record to 8-2.  Leading the Varsity Knights was Jessie Wanserski with 7 kills and 2 aces; Avery Fisher with 21 assists; Hannah Brackenhoff with 11 digs and Polly Reynolds with 6 kills and 4 blocks.  Way to go Lady Knights!

The Soccer team won last night at HOME against Normal Calvary Christian 1 to 0.  Colin Magenheimer scored the only goal with Victor Reynolds assisting.  Way to go Knights!

Today the Boys Junior Varsity Golf team competes in the Blue Ridge JV Invitational at HOME

beginning at 4:00.  The Soccer Team plays Warrensburg-Latham at HOME beginning at 4:30. Go Knights!

After school detentions this week are with Mrs. Wieber on room 211.  

Today’s lunch menu is:  Cheese Quesadillas or Parmesan Chicken, Seasoned Carrots, Fresh Broccoli, Juice and Milk
