The BRHS Thespian Troupe 5290 Presents "Maid to Order "at the Moore Gym at the high school. Dates are Friday, Nov. 6th and Saturday, Nov. 7th at 7pm and Sunday, November 8th at 2pm for a matinee. Tickets are $8 for adults and students are $5. Desserts and Drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Don't miss it!

It's FFA Trivia time! Please come out and help the Blue Ridge award winning FFA chapter with Trivia night on Saturday, November 14th at Woodlawn Country club starting at 6pm. Theme for the night is "Movie Night Trivia". Prizes for best table decoration and best individual movie dress up will be awarded. A table of 6 is $100 and it all goes to help our FFA chapter attend conferences and FFA events . You may bring your own food for the table or the FFA Alumni will provide Nachos with Anderson's corn chips with all the fixings. There will also be a dessert auction and silent auction held. Today, Art 3 students in Mrs. Ramirez's class continued working in their ceramics unit. Students are working on individual wheels to throw different items. They will eventually apply different techniques and glazes to finish their pieces. Go Knights!

Last week, on Friday the 23rd, Mr. Tongate took a group of students to DeLand-Weldon for their annual Trades and CTE Career Fair. The fair consisted of 50+ representatives of career and trade based paths students may be interested in exploring after high school, covering agriculture and construction, to emergency services and municipal government, to entreprenuership opportunities and the military. This gave BRHS students an opportunity to interact with professionals in the field and get hands on experience in variety of areas. Special thanks to DeLand-Weldon for inviting our BRHS students down for this great opportunity.

An exciting end to the football season. Once again we were so close but came up short. But if you were there, you know. We saw our athletes play every minute like it was their last. We had everything: trick plays, touchdowns called back, big scores, a last-second (literally) touchdown, long bomb pass plays, overtime and overtime scores! And most importantly a crowd that yelled with all they had. We can’t ask for more. Our seniors went out with a bang in one, amazing final game. Thank you to Max White, Shawn Christie, Trevor Gembecki and Kam Hinshaw for everything you have done for the team and all the memories! This season is over but the next one starts Monday. Looking forward to that next snap! Let's Go Knights!!

There are lots of exciting learning opportunities happening at BRHS this year. Today, Mr. Rhodes' World History Class came together with all three of his sections to do some hands-on learning with an activity surrounding the Government of Imperial China. This allowed for an engaging activity which hopefully will result in a deeper understanding of how a different governmental system works. Go Knights!
