Blue Ridge High School had a couple of students who were recognized as outstanding students in their courses at Bloomington Area Career Center. We are proud to announce that Kayla Cole (Culinary Arts) and Aaron Miller (Certified Nurse Assistant) were named as the 3rd Quarter Student of the Month for their respective classes. Mrs. Brackenhoff’s first grade class has been working on ‘How To’ writing. As an introduction to the unit, students made their own PB&J sandwiches and then wrote a piece titled “How to Make a PB&J.” Students had a blast making their sandwiches and they were able to give detailed instructions in their writing. Great work, 1st graders!

Our K-3rd grade students received their free books from the book fair on Tuesday! Schneider's PIE and funds raised by previous book fairs made it possible for each student to select a book to keep for their own. The Sour Grape was the biggest hit with our K/1st grade crowd!
