On Monday, September 8th, the High School Band came to BRIJHS to demonstrate the opportunities for our 4th, 5th & 6th graders. The Band played the pieces from their marching competition program . The students enjoyed the performance and learning about Band.
The Wall of Fame committee is excited to announce the addition of the newest member to the Blue Ridge Wall of Fame - Shari Eubank! Her lifelong involvement and continued commitment to our district (especially through ELA and the Fine Arts programs) made her the choice for this year over several other very strong candidates.
The induction ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 12th at 6 p.m. in Moore Gym to kick off Homecoming week. There will be a "meet and greet" in the library afterwards for anyone who would like to catch up with or congratulate Shari. She will also serve as the Grand Marshall of the Homecoming Parade on October 17th.

BRHS Boys Golf has another beautiful day to compete as they play at Woodlawn Country Club vs. Clinton, Tri-Valley, and Fisher. Come out to support our boys golfers at 4:00PM.

This morning the BRHS Football Team with the help of some cheerleaders greeted Schneider students for our weekly High-Five Friday. It was great to see the excitement from the elementary students as well as from the high school students to start the day.
Come out tonight to cheer on the BRHS Football Team as they take on Decatur Unity Christian at 7:00 PM in Decatur. Traveling with the team will be our BRHS Cheerleaders and the BRHS Marching Band. The Marching Band is also set to perform at halftime! Go Knights!

IESA has released the Regional bracket and we are excited to announce that our Blue Ridge Junior High softball team was chosen as the #1 seed! The girls will face the winner of the Holy Cross/St. Matthew's game and play on Wednesday, September 10 @ 4:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Moore. Join us in wishing the girls great post season play! Seniors being recognized include Cede Manuel, Lexi Winstead, Payton Heiser, Presley Hardesty, Ollie Yeagle, Ivy Whitehouse, and Gracie Wingert. The Knights are back in action on 9-2 at home against Olympia.
Blue Ridge High School and the BRHS Boosters are excited to announce a Tailgate Party in connection to the Blue Ridge High School Homecoming Parade and Football Game. The Boosters have coordinated with local food trucks to also be in attendance. The food trucks will include Juanito's Tacos, Patty Daddy's, and Keke's Lemonade. This will be a family friendly event and all community members are invited to come out and celebrate. This is also a recognition of 40 years of BRHS pride! Mark your calendars for 10/17 for some food, fun, and football!

The Jr. High students will be working hard to stay organized this school year! We will be implementing H.O.P.S. (Homework, Organization, and Planning Skills) to fill a need discovered last year. As you can see, we are already well on our way. Students gathered last week to support each other in putting together their new organization system, and 8th grade students are pictured in class utilizing their new binders.
