35 BRIJHS students participated in the Students Involved with Technology Conference on Saturday at Heartland Community College. Four students presented and ALL said they had fun learning new things!

The BABES program is visiting 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms, today, discussing various social-emotional learning skills and topics. This is a 5 week program that addresses topics and skills including decision making, coping, bullying, and more.

Blue Ridge 8th graders toured electives options for their freshman year today. High School teachers and students welcomed them with descriptions and demonstrations in each of the freshman elective areas.

Freshman Orientation for current 8th graders is Wednesday, Feb 7th at 7:00 PM in the BRHS commons. Students should attend with a parent. Teachers will be present with displays and information starting at 6:30.

Blue Ridge National Honor Society spent part of their morning helping area Senior Citizens learn more about their cell phones. This is part of the TRIAD community out reach program.
