Over the BRHS Spring Break, the BRHS Marching Band and Color Guard travelled to Disney World and Universal Studios to march, perform, and make some great memories.

Today, Mr. Kirkton took four BRHS Students to Springield to participate in the Sally Turner Youth Advisory Council. Here they learned about the legislative procedures for the House of Representatives as well as the State Senate. The students also participated in a mock bill discussion and vote to see how the process truly works.

Blue Ridge Families,

We are postponing the High School Fine Arts Expo and Kindergarten Registration on Tuesday, March 10, due to projected inclement weather this evening. We are making this decision out of an abundance of caution and to prioritize student and staff safety.

Both of these events will be rescheduled for Monday, March 16.

A great day for our High Honor Roll students from the junior high! They celebrated their academic achievements with an exciting trip to watch the Bloomington Bison in action. Hard work in the classroom earns some fun outside of it! 🏒👏🎓

This afternoon, the Blue Ridge Scholastic Bowl Team competed at home for the IHSA Regionals. They finished with victories over Maroa Forsyth and over Warrensburg-Latham in the regional championship! They will be competing in the IHSA Sectionals on Saturday at home! Go Knights!

The Class of 2028 will be holding a popcorn fundraiser this weekend to help support funding for next year's prom and future endeavors! You can use the link below to purchase delicious popcorn from Double Good popcorn! Flavors include caramel, cheese, butter, and many more!

Last night, Mrs. Hieronymus and Mr. Easter welcomed the new inductees from BRHS into the National Honors Society. This year, a group of 16 students were recommended for membership because of their commitment to the four pillars of NHS; Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service.
These members included: Benjamyn Clevenger, Romero Fernandez, Mercedes Manuel, Taylyn Watterson, Ivy Whitehouse, Devin Wrestler, Justin Zellers, Addison Browning, Haylee Dean, Broghen Flannell, Kaleb Forrest, Drake Hardesty, Tyler Holtz, Renn Light, Elias Nolan, and Kelly Weiss.

Blue Ridge High School and the Farmer City Chamber of Commerce are excited to recognize the Blue Ridge High School Students of the Year.
Senior students that demonstrated the school values of educational advancement, community service, advancement of extra-curricular activities, as well as diversity & inclusion were nominated by a variety of staff members.
This year's recipients include Benjamyn Clevenger and Karly Warner.
Ben was nominated for his hard work and academic excellence. This was paired with exceptional character and infectious enthusiasm.
Karly was nominated for her unwavering dedication to service, inclusion, and overall academic excellence. Karly has also established herself as a leader in a variety of activities.

8th Grade students attended the Bloomington Career Academy field trip on February 25th. They were shown a fantastic variety of career options with interactive activities at most booths. The representatives showcasing their careers were very kind and informational.

We are thankful for this trip for our wonderful 8th graders!
